Simulate the iconic look of 80s 5247 movie film stock with these LUTs presets. This pack by NTown emulates 5247 film to achieve the signature cinematic look of late 70s and early 80s movies, perfect for learning and reference.

NTown 1000 Series Filmstock Emulation
NTEK-1047 marks the first in a group of highly specialized styling LUTs. This LUT is optimized for Canon C300 Mark II cameras with c-log2 Gamma, Cinema Gamut and Production Camera Color Matrix settings.
This LUT is optimized for the Canon C300 Mark II, but with the help of our Base LUT Collections it can be used with many other popular camera footage too which also uses a flat log curve.
Workflow
- Use Base LUT for Canon C300 MkII c-log2 as base grading
- Apply NTEK-1047 LUT to achieve filmstock look
- Can also be applied on sRGB photos
Image Characteristics
- Film gradation curve emulation with gradual highlights and shadow rolloff
- Strong dark reddish skintones like original filmstock from the late 70s
- Cross-Color bleeding Color-Matrix emulation
- Dynamic range limited to +3 stops and -6 stops from middle gray to emulate the iconic 5247 filmstock
- Original c-log2 exposed middle gray at IRE 60%, after BASE-LUT + NTEK1047-LUT middle gray shifts to IRE 40% to match film characteristics

Installation Guide
- Final Cut Pro X
- Premiere Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- Open FCPX software, find the [Effects] panel - [Color] - [Custom LUT] and add to the video
- In the [LUT] parameter item - [Select Custom LUT...] select the LUTS folder or .cube file to load
- PS: If you select the LUTS folder, you can load the entire folder and retain it in the [LUT] parameter item for easy classification management, but note that you should avoid using Chinese characters and special characters as much as possible
First open the following path:
- Mac system: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/LUTs
- Windows system: \Program Files\Adobe\Common\LUTs
- Copy the "Log to Rec709" LUTs to the above folder
- PS: For easy classification, you can create a new folder in the above path

- Windows system: C:\ProgramData\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\LUT
